Ableauctions -- First Official War Commands for U.S. Army to Be Auctioned at Early American History Auctions, Inc.

Ableauctions.com (AMEX:AAC) announced today that it will host Early American History Auctions, Inc. five day August “Mail Bid & Internet” auction on August 24th, 26th, and September 8, 2007, on eBay Live Auctions through its subsidiary iCollector.com. This event will feature autographs, coins, currency, encased postage, Civil War material, prints and other historic Americana items.

The auction house will showcase the highly anticipated first official commands for the United States Army. This original American military document dated June 14th to June 16th, 1775, represents the direct orders of the Commanding General of the American Forces, General Artemas Ward, Commander of the American Continental and Patriot Militias at Cambridge, on the three days immediately prior to the Battle of Bunker Hill. These orders are dated June 14th, 1775, the official founding date of the United States Army by the Continental Congress. That date has since been known and celebrated across America as “Flag Day.”

Also noteworthy is a Johann Gottlieb Rall signed military order as directed from British General Howe. Rall was the Hessian commander killed at the 1776 battle of Trenton on December 26, 1776. This document is a pass which was signed less than two weeks prior to his death.

Highlights of the auction include a 1792 struck in silver half dime, nine “John W. Norris” 5 cent pieces, which are the finest of only two that the have been offered in three decades, and a 1783 official American Revolutionary War “payment & loan” act of Congress.

Other items of interest are an elusive key merchant type 5 cent “Drink Sands’ Ale,” and a “Hunt & Nash, Irving House” ribbed frame 12 cent piece. Also available will be a 1694 Proprietors with “O over E” type Carolina elephant token, and a 1787 New Jersey copper outline shield maris.

Early American History Auctions, Inc. has been in business since 1983. The auction house specializes in historic Americana items, colonial coins, and encased postage stamps. They offer four printed and four Internet-only auctions per quarter and have been successful in generating millions of dollars in revenue since the conception of Early American History Auctions, Inc. They pride themselves in being highly reliable and responsible in every auction that they undertake.
