Ah American Oil and Gas, A Good One?
I like the sound of American Oil and Gas, we don't have enough of the black gold to go around. I was stunned to see gas prices jump to another all time high yesterday 3.39 a gallon. I know some of you pay more, and others pay less, all in all, gas has risen significantly over the last ten years. So, why hasn't AEZ been the beneficiary of the recent appreciation in oil prices. After all, they are American Oil and Gas stock, it seems like they would be the ones to most benefit from spikes in oil. Instead, AEZ has fallen about fifty percent since I added them to the editors watch list. The fall in share price is in contrast to the rising price of a barrel of oil, which is trading at 115$. I still wonder how there can be a shortage, and yet the pumps never run out of gas! If you have any information, or just want to vent about AEZ's poor performance, please post a comment!
