Judge Dismisses Hydra Foe's Infringement Lawsuit, Hydra Granted Costs and Return of Sanctions

Hydra Fuel Cell Corporation (www.hydrafuelcell.com), a wholly owned subsidiary of American Security Resources Corporation (OTCBB:ARSC), announced today that Judge Dennis J. Hubel, the U.S. Magistrate hearing the patent infringement case brought against it by Relion in 2006, has granted Relion’s request for dismissal subject to Relion agreeing to restrictions on further litigation with Hydra on the patent in question. Relion has returned sanction funds previously taken from Hydra as required by the Judge. Judge Hubel further ordered Relion to reimburse Hydra’s costs of the suit.

Judge Hubel stated in his ruling “…it is difficult to view Relion’s motion to dismiss ‘as anything other than an eleventh-hour attempt to pull the jurisdictional rug out from under a counterclaim that it could not defend against on the merits’.”

Jim Twedt, President and CEO of Hydra, said, “This is vindication for us. We knew we didn’t infringe on their patent. Our belief is that they were using the courts to keep us from getting to market with a superior fuel cell. Now we can turn our complete attention to doing just that.”
