Environmental Tectonics Corporation (ETC) engages in the design,
manufacture, and sale of software driven products used to create and
monitor the physiological effects of motion on humans and equipment, as
well as to control, modify, simulate, and measure environmental
conditions. The company operates in two segments, Aircrew Training
Systems and the Industrial Group. Aircrew Training Systems segment
offer aircrew training devices, entertainment products, and disaster
management simulations. Aircrew training devices include military and
commercial flight simulators, night vision trainers, water survival and
disorientation training equipment, human centrifuges, ejection seat
trainers, and vehicle and tank simulators used for medical research,
advanced tactical and physiological flight training, and for the
indoctrination and testing of military and commercial pilots.
Entertainment products include motion-based simulation rides and other
products for the education and amusement industries. Disaster
management simulation line includes interactive training programs that
provide instruction on various disaster situations. Industrial Group
segment includes three product lines: sterilizers, environmental
systems and other products, and hyperbarics. The company manufactures
steam and gas sterilizers for various industrial and pharmaceutical
applications. Its environmental systems and other products include
sampling and analysis systems, and test equipment and systems. The
company’s hyperbarics product line includes monoplace and multiplace
chambers for high altitude training, decompression, and wound care
applications. It also provides control upgrades, maintenance and repair
services, and spare parts for its equipment. ETC was founded by William
F. Mitchell in 1969. The company is based in Southampton, Pennsylvania.
