Bill Huber, director of Procurement Services for TPI, the largest sourcing data and advisory firm in the world and a unit of Information Services Group Inc. (ISG) (NASDAQ:III), was named to the Advisory Council of Sourcing Interests Group (SIG). As a selected member of this selective Council, Huber will play a critical role in shaping the course of the sourcing industry by driving operational changes and supporting the overall growth of SIG.
SIG is a unique organization that brings together the most influential players in the industry including successful companies engaged in sourcing, top service providers and leading advisory firms. It provides a forum for members to discuss how to improve their business results, quality and customer service across the spectrum of outsourcing, offshoring, insourcing, procurement and shared services.
“SIG’s contributions to the sourcing industry are far-reaching, and it is truly an honor to serve on its prestigious Advisory Council,” said Bill Huber. “I’m excited to utilize my experience at TPI to help create a dynamic and collaborative environment that truly benefits SIG’s members by fostering strategic sourcing decisions and improving bottom-line results.”
Huber, a recognized industry veteran, was asked to join SIG’s Advisory Council as a result of his credentials and industry thought leadership. Since joining TPI in 2006, Huber has led the development and implementation of initiatives in the automotive, building products, financial services, and life sciences industries, and has served as a key player in the negotiation of new and existing relationships to mitigate cost and operational impact.
The Advisory Council is an elite group of representatives comprised of SIG’s Advisory Board – the organization’s governing body – and top organizations in the provider community. The Council is designed to help further the goals of SIG and the sourcing industry by providing expert counsel and direction to promote SIG’s evolution. Specifically, the Council offers input and ideas on the features and benefits available to SIG members; the formats, agendas, venues, keynote speakers, and forums for SIG events; organizations that should be targeted for SIG membership and potential new board members. Members are required to serve a two-year term, with half rotating off every year.
