AESK News American Skiing Company Announces Appointment of John Lowell to Managing Director of Attitash Resort
PARK CITY, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 22, 2006--American Skiing Company announced today that John Lowell has been named Managing Director of its Attitash resort in New Hampshire. Mr. Lowell brings 30 years of leisure and hospitality industry experience to the Managing Director position. Mr. Lowell served as General Manager of the Attitash Grand Summit Hotel and Conference Center, located at the base of Attitash resort, for the past three years.
"Since joining Attitash, John Lowell has succeeded in energizing and improving the Grand Summit Hotel. His constant focus on our guests' experience and continuous improvement in our operations will serve the entire resort well," commented President and CEO B.J. Fair. "We are pleased to promote someone of John's caliber from within our company to this critical position."
In his leadership position Mr. Lowell will have day to day responsibility for all activities and operations at Mount Washington Valley's largest ski and summer resort. Mr. Lowell will report to President and CEO B.J. Fair.

Prior to joining American Skiing Company, Lowell was Director of Hospitality at Waterville Valley Resort in New Hampshire, and Director of Guest Services for Castle Springs in Moultonborough, New Hampshire.
Mr. Lowell is a graduate of Dartmouth College. He and his wife Carrie have three children.
