IGDC News Meadow Lake First Nation Signs Agreement with IGDC Affiliate Company

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 25, 2005--Indigenous Global Development Corporation, the first majority owned and publicly traded Native American company in the U.S. (OTCBB:IGDC), today announced that its affiliate company, First Indigenous Depository Company (FIDC), signed and received a memorandum of understanding with the Meadow Lake First Nation of Saskatchewan to work together to sell Canadian First Nations softwood products into existing world markets. Under this contract memorandum IGDC will focus on providing the First Nations and specifically the Meadow Lake First Nation access to investments in U.S. Native American based companies.

IGDC and FIDC will work with the Meadow Lake First Nation to explore opportunities to sell the Canadian softwoods to markets in the U.S. and eastern countries like China. Previously, various Saskatchewan First Nations and Native American tribes met with IGDC and Chinese delegates to discuss purchasing products for overseas shipments. At these meeting the Chinese delegates were impressed with the reception they received when visiting U.S. and Canadian native groups.

IGDC and Meadow Lake can utilize existing treaties to save on tariffs and bring additional revenues to both parties. Additionally, IGDC and Meadow Lake are working together to develop a community diabetes therapy program for the Saskatchewan First Nations.

Diabetes and the related complication of this disease is the number one killer of Native Americans and First Nations in Canada. IGDC and FIDC will work with the Meadow Lake First Nation and other First Nation's of Saskatchewan to set up an innovative diabetes program that is suited to meet the particular healthcare needs of the First Nations. In the U.S., diabetes is an $89 billion annual expenditure.

"The partnership with the Meadow Lake First Nation is two fold," said Deni Leonard, Chairman and CEO, Indigenous Global Development Corporation. "We will work together to use existing treaties to enhance their Nation's economic livelihood through international trade. Equally as important will be our joint efforts to set up diabetes programs to improve the health and lifespan of the Meadow Lake and surrounding First Nations."
