National Healthcare Logistics to Develop its HUB & SPOKE Plan for Another Large Florida Hospital System
National Healthcare Logistics, Inc. (PINK SHEETS: NHLG) today announced
that the company has signed a Letter of Engagement with a large
hospital system in Florida to develop a plan for a potential HUB &
SPOKE type logistics model for this hospital Group.
NHLG president, Joe Smith, said this agreement with a multi-hospital
system recognizes the value proposition which NHLG brings to large
hospital systems that are looking for a better way of managing their
supply chain and support services. Smith said the company will make
public the identity of the hospital system later for competitive
reasons. According to Smith, "There is no need to release the name of
the system at this time, as the important thing is the existence of the
project itself. It is through working with hospitals systems by helping
them to develop their logistics model of the future, that NHCL creates
new HUB & SPOKE customers. We want more multi-hospital systems to
look to us as their logistics architects."
The company is currently working on several such supply chain
reengineering projects at this time, and will issue announcements
concerning some of these as the situations permit. Smith said that, "We
have educated far too many would be copy cats of the NHLG Logistics
Model. None have thus far succeeded in implementing our futuristic
concept successfully, but we have to be smart in how we position
ourselves in a market ripe for revolutionary change. I believe the
healthcare industry is at that historic point today."
About National Healthcare Logistics, Inc.
National Healthcare Logistics, Inc. was launched in 1997 as a
company promoting a new design for the healthcare supply chain. NHLG is
a service provider to multi-hospital systems commonly referred to as
Integrated Healthcare Delivery Networks or "IDN". The first "logistics
model" for IDN concentrated on reengineering the flow of all routinely
purchased supplies by setting up a dedicated distribution facility that
became the sole source of such supplies for the IDN healthcare
facilities. By so doing, NHLG provided a vehicle that made supply
replenishment vastly more efficient and provided cost cutting
opportunities that were thought unattainable. LeeSar was the very first
project for NHLG, beginning back in 1998, and continuing its mission to
the current day to serve its prestigious hospital systems or IDN that
created LeeSar in 1998. LeeSar is a cooperative owned by Lee Memorial
in Fort Myers and Sarasota Memorial in Sarasota.
