HDRX News Hendrx Announces Appointment of Chief Executive Officer
VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 2, 2006--Hendrx Corp. (OTCBB:HDRX) ("Hendrx") announced yesterday that the Board of Directors has appointed Mr. George Solymar, one of Hendrx's Directors, as the company's new Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Solymar brings 27 years of expertise in the water industry to his new CEO position with the Company.
Mr. Solymar's appointment as the CEO of Hendrx signals a sharply refocused and expanded global and U.S. marketing strategy for the Company in the manufacture and distribution of its high-demand water generation, filtration and purification devices -- including a burgeoning market for home/office applications for the company's water-from-air Atmospheric Water Generator (AWG) units to compete in the bottled-water industry.
Prior to joining Hendrx, Mr. Solymar had a long and distinguished career with Puroflow, Inc., a NASDAQ-listed company, culminating as CEO and Chairman of the Board of that company. Business Week Magazine cited Puroflow in its roster of "Best 100 Small Companies" during Mr. Solymar's tenure with the company.
Earlier, Mr. Solymar had successively served as General Manager and President of Puroflow and its Subsidiaries, Ultra Dynamics and Decca Valves; as Vice President of Marketing for Puroflow and its Subsidiaries; and, prior to that, as Vice President Engineering for the same group.
An acknowledged expert in water industry engineering and marketing, Mr. Solymar also developed a variety of fluid filtration and purification technologies for Puroflow -- such as Belloflow (filter technology) and Puroglow (UV light purification technology) -- that are currently held under a variety of U.S. and foreign patents.
Robert De Costa, the Company's former Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Hendrx Board of Directors, resigned from both positions effective July 24th 2006. "Mr. De Costa has been a highly valued member of our team. We wish him continued success in his new position," said Cherry Cai, Hendrx's Chief Financial Officer.
