Nymox Pharmaceutical Corporation is engaged in the research and development of therapeutics and diagnostics for the aging population with an emphasis on Alzheimer's disease. Nymox has two subsidiaries: majority-owned Serex, Inc. and wholly owned Nymox Corporation. Nymox Corporation operates the Company's clinical reference laboratory where its AlzheimAlert, a diagnostic test for Alzheimer's disease is performed. It also conducts some research and development. Serex conducts research and development, as well as some of the manufacturing for NicAlert and TobacAlert, which are used to detect a person's usage or exposure to tobacco products and second hand smoke.
