Magellan Health Services, Inc. directly and through its subsidiaries (collectively, the Company) coordinates and manages the delivery of behavioral healthcare treatment services that are provided through its contracted network of third-party treatment providers, which includes psychiatrists, psychologists, other behavioral health professionals, psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers and other treatment facilities. The Company operates in four segments, based on the services it provides and/or the customers that it serves: Magellan Health Plan Solutions (Health Plan Solutions), Magellan Employer Solutions (Employer Solutions), Magellan Public Sector Solutions (Public Sector Solutions) and Corporate and Other. In January 2004, the Company emerged from bankruptcy.
