AAWW News Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings Names Adam R. Kokas Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary
PURCHASE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. (AAWW) (Nasdaq: AAWW), a leading
provider of global air cargo services, has named Adam R. Kokas Senior
Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary, effective October 9,
2006.
Mr. Kokas, 35, joins AAWW from Ropes & Gray LLP, where he was a partner
in their Corporate Department, focusing on general corporate, securities
and business law. Prior to joining Ropes & Gray, Mr. Kokas was a partner
at Kelley Drye & Warren LLP, where he joined as an associate in 2001. At
both Kelley Drye and at Ropes & Gray, Mr. Kokas has represented AAWW in
a variety of matters, including corporate finance transactions,
corporate governance matters, strategic alliances, securities matters,
and other general corporate issues.
William J. Flynn, President and CEO of AAWW, said, "Adam has been

As General Counsel, Mr. Kokas fills the position vacated by John W.

Officer.
Mr. Kokas earned his B.A. from Rutgers University, and is a cum laude
graduate of the Boston University School of Law, where he was an Edward
M. Hennessey scholar. He is a member of the Bar in New York and New
Jersey.
AAWW is the parent company of Atlas Air (Atlas) and Polar Air Cargo,
which together operate the world’s largest
fleet of Boeing 747 freighter aircraft.
