VTSS News Vitesse NexSAS(TM) Storage IC Solutions to Power HP Storage Subsystems

CAMARILLO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vitesse Semiconductor Corporation (Pink Sheets:VTSS), a leader in enterprise storage ICs, today announced that its Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) storage technology will power the storage subsystems in the new HP StorageWorks 60 Modular Smart Array (MSA60) and the HP ProLiant DL320s server.

Vitesse’s NexSAS family of end-to-end SAS solutions are based on a common software and hardware architecture allowing OEMs to easily scale designs across port densities, functional requirements, and applications while leveraging existing software and firmware. This architectural flexibility provides OEMs with accelerated time-to-market and maximized time-in-market through reuse of designs and firmware/software. Targeted at both enterprise server and storage enclosure applications, Vitesse delivers all of the features needed to build enterprise storage solutions that leverage both SAS and Serial ATA (SATA) technology today.
