ADGO News Introducing Idea Tech OS: Adams Golf's Most Forgiving Game-Improvement Set Ever

PLANO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Adams Golf (OTCBB:ADGO) introduces Idea Tech OS Hybrid Irons, an easy-to-hit, premium hybrid iron set that stretches the limits of technology and forgiveness. Built upon the heritage of the very successful Idea Hybrid Irons, Idea Tech OS integrates adjustable weight ports, titanium, composite and tungsten weighting into a cutting-edge set of four hybrids and four irons.

“As the leader in hybrid iron sets, Adams Golf is always challenged to find new ways of creating golf clubs that can help golfers improve their game all while making it more enjoyable to play,” said Chip Brewer, Adams Golf CEO. “We’re confident that Idea Tech OS is the most premium, technologically advanced and player-friendly set of hybrid irons that we’ve ever created.”

By combining its industry leading knowledge of hybrid iron set design with new multi-material technology, Adams Golf engineers created the company’s most forgiving iron set ever. Idea Tech OS delivers 11% higher MOI compared to the four top-selling, game improvement irons on the market. The CG is also located 20% lower. This combination of high MOI and low CG translates into a high and long ball flight while maintaining consistent club-to-club yardage gapping.

“During the three years of development, we analyzed the combined effect of titanium faces, carbon crowns and sole weights on ball flight and forgiveness,” stated Tim Reed, Adams Golf Vice President of Research and Development. “The result is a hybrid iron set with the highest MOI and lowest CG (center of gravity) in its class.”

Idea Tech OS Features

3 & 4 Hybrid iWoods

The most forgiving hybrids ever produced by Adams Golf are constructed with a composite crown to achieve a low center of gravity (CG) for a higher launch. A heel-biased adjustable weight port in the sole allows for swing weight and custom fitting options. Increased ball speed and greater distance is possible due to the titanium face in these hybrids.

5 & 6 Hybrids

These hybrids transition the launch conditions between the iWoods and the short irons to achieve consistent yardage gapping. The hollow design and composite back allow for maximum MOI and forgiveness. Like the iWoods, an adjustable weight port is positioned near the heel for swing weight and custom fitting options. The mid-iron hybrids are also constructed with a titanium face for more distance through higher ball speed at impact.

TriTech™ Short Irons

A titanium face promotes a higher ball speed and greater distance. The tungsten weight positioned in the sole achieves low CG (center of gravity) allowing for a high launch angle. The Vibration Dampening System, consisting of a multi-piece thermoplastic urethane insert in the cavity, enhances the feel and sound. The short-iron chassis is crafted with 431 stainless steel.

The Idea Tech OS hybrid irons are available in Men’s, Senior’s and Women’s. Right Hand and Left Hand sets are available. The Idea Tech OS Hybrid Irons will be available at golf shops and retail stores Dec. 1, 2006.
