CALL News CallWave Announces Free Visual Voicemail for Mobile Phones, Nationwide
SANTA BARBARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CallWave, Inc. (NASDAQ:CALL) today announced a free, PC-based visual
voicemail service that takes mobile phone voicemail to a new level of
convenience and accessibility. The new CallWave Mobile service with
visual voicemail sends a copy of mobile phone voicemail messages to users’
email – enabling them to sort and prioritize,
listen and respond to messages all from their email in-box.
CallWave Mobile with visual voicemail gives consumers the freedom,
flexibility and control to manage mobile phone voicemail when and how
they want – without downloading software,
switching service providers, purchasing a new handset or changing their
mobile phone number. When not at the PC, users are notified of mobile
voicemail messages via a detailed SMS sent to the handset. Users can
then access messages the traditional way, by dialing into their mobile
phone’s voicemail system.
“CallWave’s visual
voicemail leverages the power of the PC to manage tasks that are
difficult to do on a mobile phone’s small
interface and makes them easier to do on the desktop,”
said David Hofstatter, Chief Executive Officer for CallWave. “Individuals
and businesses can more easily access and manage their voicemail and
interact with their calling communities in ways never before thought
possible.”
CallWave Mobile with visual voicemail gives users the ability to see and
prioritize messages from their email, as caller names and message
lengths are included in the message subject line. Users can then listen
to messages in any order, simply by opening an email. From here, users
can pause, replay, save, delete or reply to the caller, via text or
callback – all from their PC. For added
convenience, CallWave Mobile automatically creates a PC-based contact
list.
“While the mobile phone is one of the most
relied upon devices on the market, it’s often
time-consuming and cumbersome to wade through voicemails. With CallWave
Mobile, it’s possible to see your voicemail,
choosing to listen and respond to key voicemails –
with just a few clicks. More than convenient, this service reinvents how
people feel about their phone, contacts and voicemail,”
continued Hofstatter.
