Call company..that's what I did
I called the number off the Mamma.com website...

I spoke directly to Daniel Bertrand, who explained the reasoning for the name change. The company wants to capitalize on it's Copernic software, though will continue to benefit from the Mamma.com search revenue. I was told that the new website would be launched next week.
I think that once the dust settles from this name change, we'll see this company soar. The Copernic software is designed to keep web surfers on the site longer, clearly a benefit to web enterprise. I was told that nothing has changed about the company (same number of employees, etc), but the decision was made to establish a stronger brand name for Copernic, which they see as the golden ring for this company.
I found talking to Mr. Bertrand helpful and informative.
