GILD News SYSTIME Completes JD Edwards World Upgrade for Gilead Sciences On-Time and On-Budget
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SYSTIME Computer Corporation announced today the successful upgrade to Oracle’s JD Edwards World A8.1 cum 6 from A7.3 at Gilead Sciences (NASDAQ:GILD). Gilead is a leading global biopharmaceutical company that discovers, develops and commercializes innovative therapeutics in areas of unmet medical needs.
The key driver for Gilead’s decision to upgrade to a newer version of Oracle’s JD Edwards World was the ability to provide functional improvements for their US and UK users. Additionally, it was essential to position Gilead’s JD Edwards system on the migration path to Oracle® Fusion Applications. Gilead’s main goal was to stay within budget and on-time for this upgrade. Selecting a partner who could provide seamless integration and a global environment with improvements in functionalities was imperative.
Gilead partnered with SYSTIME on this initiative due to SYSTIME’s comprehensive solutions and top notch services.
