MIDD News Lyall D. Newby Named President of Middleby Worldwide
ELGIN, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Middleby Corporation (NASDAQ:MIDD) has named Lyall D. Newby President of Middleby Worldwide effective immediately.
In this role, Lyall will be responsible for all international sales and distribution activities for Middleby brand commercial cooking equipment. These brands include Middleby Marshall, Southbend, Blodgett, Pitco, MagiKitch’n, Nu-Vu, Houno and Toastmaster. He will continue to build upon Middleby’s current international sales infrastructure to increase sales and brand awareness around the world. He will report directly to company Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Selim A. Bassoul.

Lyall has more than 20 years of industry experience and has held various positions in engineering, market development and supply chain management. Most recently he was with Yum! Restaurants International where he was Director of Strategic Equipment Sourcing. In this position he lead the commercial development and supplier management for more than seven hundred international KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Long John Silver and A&W restaurants annually. Prior to joining Yum!, Lyall held positions with McDonald's Corporation and Boston Market, Inc.
