Abiomed Inc. (NASDAQ: ABMD), a leading provider of heart recovery products designed to recover hearts and eliminate in-hospital deaths from heart attacks and high risk percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), today announced its schedule of events at the American College of Cardiology (ACC) 58th Annual 2009 Scientific Session, being held March 29 - 31, at the Orlando Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The ACC conference features the latest and most innovative findings in cardiovascular science, as well as the most clinically relevant practical applications. Abiomed will exhibit its comprehensive portfolio of heart recovery products spanning the continuum of cardiovascular patient care from the catheterization lab (cath lab) to the surgery suite.
The Abiomed ACC booth (#2653), will include daily demonstrations and hands-on simulation of its extensive heart recovery product suite, including: Impella 2.5; Impella 5.0; AB5000™ portable driver; and AB5000TMCirculatory Support System.
The Impella 2.5 will be featured in five live cases at the ACC conference, including Columbia University Medical Center, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Saint Luke’s Hospital and Mid-America Heart Institute, and St. Vincent Hospital and the Heart Center of Indiana. Impella 2.5 will also be featured in a presentation made by physicians from Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC.
