OCNW News Occam Networks Selected by Etex to Offer Triple Play Services
SANTA BARBARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Occam Networks® Inc. (NASDAQ:OCNW), a leading supplier of innovative Ethernet and IP-based loop carrier equipment to telecommunications companies, announced today that Etex Telephone Cooperative, Inc., among the largest independent local exchange carriers (ILECs) in Texas, has purchased multiple products of Occam’s Broadband Loop Carrier system to provide its customers with advanced services, such as Triple Play.
“Although we work with other equipment providers, we chose to bring in Occam to help us upgrade our network to offer IPTV and a complete range of Triple Play services,” said Danny Johnson, Assistant Managerof Etex Telephone Cooperative. “We are deploying one of the largest Triple Play installations in Texas. To date, Occam’s BLC implementation has met all of our expectations and their engineers have completed all the projects we identified on time and on budget.”
Etex is deploying Occam’s BLC 6252, 6440 and 6312 blades inside Occam’s BLC 6012 chassis. The 6252-02 ADSL2Plus Blade provides 48 ports of ADSL2Plus with Lifeline POTS on the same physical interface to deliver voice, data and video services.

Etex is planning a mixed copper and fiber triple play deployment, giving their customers a rich offering of advanced services.
