AirTran Airways Sets New Records for November

 

ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), today reported record November traffic with revenue passenger miles (RPMs), available seat miles (ASMs) and enplaned passengers setting new highs for the month.

November traffic surged 26.3 percent compared to the same month last year on a 15.9 percent increase in capacity. Load factor rose 6.2 points to 75.4 percent, and the number of enplaned passengers for the month increased 19.4 percent to 1.98 million.

For the year to date, AirTran Airways set new records for traffic, capacity, total passengers and load factor. For the first 11 months of 2007, traffic increased 25.8 percent on a 20 percent increase in capacity. Load factor rose 3.6 points to 76.6 percent, and the number of enplaned passengers increased 19.4 percent to 21.8 million.
