AME News AMETEK Names H. Ian McGavisk as Vice President and General Manager, Engineered Materials, Interconnects and Packaging
PAOLI, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AMETEK, Inc. (NYSE:AME) today announced that the Board of Directors has
elected H. Ian McGavisk as Vice President and General Manager,
Engineered Materials, Interconnects and Packaging. In his newly created
position, Mr. McGavisk is responsible for AMETEK’s
Specialty Metal Products and HCC Industries Divisions.

brings extensive operating and general management experience to his new
position and is expected to make important contributions to the

Prior to AMETEK, Mr. McGavisk spent more than 17 years with York
International. Most recently he served as Vice President and General
Manager for the Building Efficiencies Group of York Refrigeration
Systems. Previously, he held positions as Plant Manager of York’s
largest North American manufacturing facility, Director of Marketing for
its European Engineered Systems Group, Global Product Manager, Marketing
Manager, and Sales Engineer. He also had been an Operations Officer with
U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and a Battalion Logistics Officer with the
U.S. Army.
Mr. McGavisk holds a Bachelor’s of Science
degree in Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and a
Master’s of Business Administration from
Boston College.
