AMO News IntAct Licenses IPTV Solution to WNC
CAMBRIDGE, England & HSINCHU, Taiwan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--IntAct Software Ltd (“IntAct”),
an Amino Technologies plc company (“Amino”)(LSE:AMO)
announces today that it has signed a licensing agreement with Wistron
NeWeb Corp. (“WNC”),
the subsidiary of Wistron group, which will allow WNC to bundle the
IntAct IPTV solution across a range of Set-Top Boxes (STBs) from the
mentioned company. These STB products will range from standard
definition MPEG-2/4/H.264 to high definition DVB Hybrid and PVRs.
For an undisclosed sum, WNC has the right to supply the latest advanced
IPTV software technology to customers across the Asia-Pacific region and
tier-1 telcos in European Union and North America markets. According to
Mike Arden, Principal Analyst at ABI Research, Asia Pacific alone is
poised to be the biggest market with an explosion of IPTV services over
the next few years and he also foresees that subscribers will rise from
2 million in 2005 to over 22 million by 2011.

STBs loaded with fully pre-integrated IntAct solution directly from the
end of the assembly line to the operator”.
