ShengdaTech, Inc. Reports Record Third Quarter 2007 Results and Pacific Ethanol Swings to 3Q Loss

(NASDAQ: SDTH), a leading manufacturer of nano precipitated calcium carbonate ("NPCC") and coal-based chemical products manufacturer in the People's Republic of China ("PRC"), recently reported financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2007. Revenues for the third quarter of 2007 increased to a record $27.2 million, up 44.4% from $18.8 million in the third quarter of 2006. The increase in revenue is attributed to the increased capacity of the Company's NPCC production filling the continuing demand for its products.

On Friday, November 9, 2007, the Board of Directors of Cabot Corporation (NYSE: CBT) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.18 per share on all outstanding shares of the Corporation's common stock. The dividend is payable on December 14, 2007 to stockholders of record at the close of business on November 30, 2007. Cabot Corporation is a global specialty chemicals and materials company and is headquartered in Boston, MA.

Pacific Ethanol Inc. (NASDAQ: PEIX) swung to a loss in the third quarter due to inventory write-downs as the price of ethanol fell dramatically, the company said recently. Results included $1.2 million in inventory write-downs on less valuable ethanol stocks and a $1.6 million loss from hedging to be settled in future reporting periods.
