DSM News Dreyfus Strategic Municipal Bond Fund Board Elects Four Additional Directors
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--At a meeting of the Board of Directors of Dreyfus Strategic Municipal
Bond Fund, Inc. (NYSE: DSM) held on November 6, 2006, the Fund’s
Directors voted unanimously to elect the following additional nominees
as Directors of the Fund, effective November 7, 2006.
Joni Evans - as a Class I Director
Gordon J. Davis - as a Class II Director
Arnold S. Hiatt - as a Class II Director
Burton N. Wallack - as a Class III Director
Biographies for the Board members are as follows:
Gordon J. Davis. Mr. Davis is a
Partner in the law firm of LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae LLP. He also
is a Director of Consolidated Edison, Inc., a utility company, Phoenix
Companies, Inc., a life insurance company, and a Board Member/Trustee
for several not-for-profit groups. He is also a Board member of 26 other
investment portfolios managed or administered by The Dreyfus
Corporation. He is 65 years old.
Joni Evans. Ms. Evans is Principal
of Joni Evans Ltd. Prior to then, through 2005, she was a Senior Vice
President of the William Morris Agency. She is also a Board member of 26
other investment portfolios managed or administered by The Dreyfus
Corporation. She is 64 years old.
Arnold S. Hiatt. Mr. Hiatt is
Chairman of The Stride Rite Charitable Foundation, a Trustee for the
Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the John Merck Fund, a charitable
trust, and The A.M. Fund, and Chairman of Business for Social
Responsibility. He is also a Board member of 26 other investment
portfolios managed or administered by The Dreyfus Corporation. He is 79
years old.
Burton N. Wallack. Mr. Wallack is
President and Co-owner of Wallack Management Company, a real estate
management company. He is also a Board member of 26 other investment
portfolios managed or administered by The Dreyfus Corporation. He is 55
years old.
