ESL News Lockheed Martin Awards STAR Supplier Status to Palomar Products
RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Palomar Products, a subsidiary of Esterline Technologies (NYSE:ESL),
announced today that Lockheed Martin has awarded the company with STAR
supplier status in recognition of Palomar’s
performance on the VH-71 Presidential Helicopter program.
Representatives from Lockheed Martin will present the award in a
ceremony at Palomar Products on Thursday November 2nd.

deployment on the VH-71A Presidential helicopters,”

Palomar.”
The Lockheed Martin STAR Supplier Program was implemented in 1999 with
the goal of developing stronger supply chain relationships. The program
enables Lockheed Martin to recognize their top performing suppliers.
Palomar Products was recognized with the STAR status for their ability
to meet the established quality and delivery requirements.
Lockheed Martin Systems Integration – Owego is
the prime contractor and systems integrator for the U.S. Navy’s
VH-71 Presidential Helicopter program with overall responsibility for
the program and aircraft system. The VH-71 is based on the US101
helicopter, the American variant of AgustaWestland’s
successful EH-101 multimission helicopter. AgustaWestlandBell, the U.S.
principal subcontractor to Lockheed Martin, is the licensee of the
EH101's intellectual property and has responsibility for the air vehicle
design, configuration management and support. More than 200 suppliers in
41 states support the VH-71 program.
