IHS News James Lang Joins CERA as President and COO
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. & ENGLEWOOD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA), an IHS Company (NYSE: IHS),
announced today that James Lang has joined CERA as President and Chief
Operating Officer, responsible for CERA’s
daily operations and strategic growth. Lang succeeds Robert Lockwood who
is taking on responsibilities for IHS’
expansion in Asia.

Lang previously was President and COO of Strategic Decisions Group
(SDG), a leading strategy consulting firm serving the oil & gas, power,
transportation, life sciences and other industries. With that firm since
1989, he specialized in strategy development, capital investment
decision-making, and organizational capability development, and founded
the firm’s Boston and Houston offices. Lang
managed projects around the world, providing strong and capable
leadership for SDG through different business environments.
Lang’s professional experience spans the
worldwide energy, telecom, transportation, high tech, defense, finance,
and automotive industries. Before joining SDG, he held planning and
engineering positions at Analog Devices, Data General Corporation, and
AT&T.
Lang holds an MBA with Distinction from the Amos Tuck School of Business
Administration at Dartmouth College, where he was named an Edward Tuck
Scholar. He received a BS in electrical and computer engineering, summa
cum laude at the University of New Hampshire. He currently guest
lectures at the Tuck School at Dartmouth.
