RGC News Josh Blue Brings Stand-Up Comedy to the Big Screen with ``JOSH BLUE, 7 MORE DAYS IN THE TANK''

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Josh Blue, winner of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” will kick off National CineMedia’s new Big Screen Comedy series with the premiere of "JOSH BLUE, 7 MORE DAYS IN THE TANK" on Thursday, November 9th at 7:30 p.m. in select movie theatres nationwide.

"JOSH BLUE, 7 MORE DAYS IN THE TANK" was filmed at the comedian’s triumphant performance at the Gothic Theater in Denver before a sold-out, home-town crowd. This special Big Screen Box Office event will also include the brand new, never-before-seen feature “BLUE AT THE ZOO” – a hilarious visit to the Denver Zoo with Josh and his favorite animal friends.

As for what the rising comedy star thinks about coming to a movie theatre near you, Josh Blue quipped, “I think people should come and see it because it’s me being me and the fact that it is on the big screen, well that is just ridiculously awesome!”

"JOSH BLUE, 7 MORE DAYS IN THE TANK" and “BLUE AT THE ZOO” will be presented by National CineMedia and How About Now Video Productions in High-Definition and cinema surround sound at 7:30 p.m. local time in 220 select Regal, United Artists, Edwards, Cinemark, AMC and Georgia Theatre Company movie theatres located across the US. Tickets are available now at www.BigScreenBoxOffice.com or at presenting theatre box offices for $10.00. (For a complete list of theatres, please visit the website.)

This special one-night event marks the first time ever that National CineMedia has presented stand-up comedy on the big screen over its Digital Content Network (DCN), one of the world’s largest in-theatre digital distribution networks. About Josh Blue

Josh Blue has been a fast-rising star since first appearing on Comedy Central’s “Mind Of Mencia” before gaining the attention and endearment of the country as a favorite on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing.”

Josh is a diverse and triumphant individual – hilarious stand-up comedian, stand-out guest star on television, talented artist, and stellar U.S. PARALYMPIC SOCCER player – refusing to bow to any of the challenges that come from living with Cerebral Palsy. Blue jokes, “I realize that people are going to stare so I want to give them something to stare at.” Josh uses his incredible sense of humor and versatile persona to defy stereotypes and encourage others to overcome their preconceived notions about people who are considered “disabled.” His unique brand of “reverse teasing” affords him the great joy of “humbling condescending people.”

In addition to being a recognized guest star on Comedy Central’s “Mind of Mencia,” Josh’s stand-out performances at the 2004 Las Vegas Comedy Festival earned him $10,000 as Grand Prize Winner of the Royal Flush Comedy Competition. He has appeared on NBC, MSNBC, FOX News, FC Fox (Fox Soccer Channel) and ESPN’s “Coldpizza.” In 2005, Josh emerged as a major force on the college circuit, garnering rave reviews for his main-stage showcases that helped earn him a nomination for BEST DIVERSITY EVENT OF 2006 by APCA. Josh has also been honored recently with a Relly Award for Favorite Winning Guest on “LIVE with Regis and Kelly’ and by Ellen DeGeneres as one of her “HOT stars you need to know” on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show.” Since his NBC win, Josh has been traveling around the country on a sold-out national tour.
