AANI News Amedia Networks, Inc. Issues Q3 Operational Update

EATONTOWN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Amedia Networks, Inc. (OTC BB: AANI), a provider of next generation media gateways to distribute and manage ultra-broadband triple-play services in the home, today released an operational update to employees and shareholders.

Over the last few months, Amedia has participated in several key industry events including TelcoTV 2006, the pre-eminent IPTV trade show, and the prestigious Gilder/Forbes 10th Annual Telecosm Conference, where company President, CEO, and Director Frank Galuppo was a featured speaker.

Additionally, Amedia introduced its Broadband Entertainment Center platform – the foundation for its next-generation line of broadband residential gateways, scheduled to ship in early 2007. The platform is being designed to combine the collective functionality of multiple home entertainment and networking equipment, with a built-in software operating system and external media storage – all in a single, compact solution. This will allow also users to surf the Web without a computer, offering access to streaming IP video as well as stored multimedia content through a TV.

Amedia strengthened industry partnerships as well, highlighted by several demonstrations at TelcoTV 2006, showcasing IP-DSLAM support and making wireless HD video a reality through Ultra wideband (UWB) technology. Also at the show, Motorola announced the introduction of its MIPX gateway jointly developed with Amedia to help carriers deliver IPTV.

Mr. Galuppo commented, “Our existing and developing partnerships with Fortune 100 firms are further enabling Amedia to innovate and deliver an even broader set of applications and services to the home. At the same time, our extensive interoperability enables Amedia technology to continually address the ever changing needs of our carrier customers.”

“Throughout 2007, we expect to see carriers and vendors capitalize on subscriber interest and sales opportunities in triple-play services, driving the transformation of the traditional gateway into the Broadband Entertainment Center for the networked home.” added Mr. Galuppo.
