Aradyme Corp. (OTCBB: ADYE), a next-generation database company, today announced that it will provide comprehensive data migration and conversion services for the state of Maine under a subcontract agreement with Covansys Corp. (NASDAQ:CVNS).
In its third project with Covansys in as many months, Aradyme will provide data migration and conversion services to consolidate Maine's approximately 503 disparate voter registration databases into a single statewide system. Covansys was awarded the contract to implement a voter registration system by the Secretary of State's Office for the state of Maine. The new system will allow the state to comply with requirements mandated by the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) of 2002.

About the Help America Vote Act
Under the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) of 2002, each state is required to establish and maintain a single, central, uniform, official and interactive computerized statewide voter registration database defined, maintained, and administered at the state level. The database is expected to contain the name and registration information of every legally registered voter in the state. The Act also requires the appropriate state or local election official to update the data in this repository on a regular basis. In an effort to support these endeavors, the federal government will award more than $3 billion to the 50 states through 2006. The deadline for states to implement a HAVA-compliant computerized statewide voter registration database is Jan. 1, 2006.
