AlgoDyne Ethanol Energy Corp. (“AlgoDyne” or the “Company”) (OTCBB:ADYN) is excited to celebrate with its X-Raid Team a podium finish at the 2007 Guy Hoget Rally of Morocco.
The X-Raid Team is an AlgoDyne-sponsored racing team, in this race, powering three BMW X3CC racing vehicles. The traditional curtain raiser of the 2007 FIA Cross-Country Rally World Cup attracted a customary large crowd and the X-Raid teams were in superb form, finishing in first place on the first day of the race.
The team's finish was led by Olympic athlete and United National Global Sport Fund Ambassador Nasser Saleh Al-Attiyah and his co-driver Tina Thorner. “I had no problem with being the first car on the road,” said Al-Attiyah. “But Tina did a great job on the road book and it is fantastic to win a desert stage on the Desert Challenge.”
On day two of the race Nasser's team set an impressive third successive fastest time for the AlgoDyne Green Power Racing Team. Day two represented “another superb stage for Nasser and a third win for X-Raid,” says Sven Quandt, team director. “Nasser is a top class driver and he drove a superb stage for us.”
Day three for the X-Raid team was challenged with mechanical problems and heat. Nasser's car experienced rear differential problems and slipped to fourth place overall, finishing the final agonizing kilometers in baking heat across shifting terrain in just two wheel drive.
By day four the AlgoDyne team had recovered from its mechanical challenges and returned with a stage win in third place overall. “It was another fantastic day for us,” said team director Quandt. “Nasser again drove a superb stage and the whole team was delighted that we are back in a podium position.”
In the final leg of the race the AlgoDyne team was placed for a podium finish when electrical problems cost the crew a potentially hard-earned second place.
“We have a strong team, a dedicated crew and talented drivers on our team,” says Troy Metz, Vice President, Business Development. “It was an incredible experience for everyone involved and the recognition of the AlgoDyne team to spectators and media and it re-enforced our commitment to this type of marketing and branding for the company.”
The AlgoDyne Team will now take all the data and begin its preparation for the opening of the Dakar Rally which starts in Lisbon on January 5th and ends in Dakar on January 20th.
