ALMI News Jim Enyeart Appointed as Dragon Mine Manager
OSBURN, Idaho--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 22, 2005--Atlas Mining Company (OTCBB: ALMI) announced today that long time employee Jim Enyeart has been selected as Mine Manager at the Dragon Mine in Juab County, Utah. The announcement made today by President and CEO, William T. Jacobson, stated, "Because of Jim's vast experience in the mining industry and his previous ability to successfully handle similar positions, we asked Jim to take over the operations at the Dragon. Jim has been with us for a number of years. He had managed larger operations for Cominco during his career there. We have had to move some personnel around this past few months because of additional contracting work, but during this time Jim has demonstrated his talents as a good supervisor here at the Dragon. The men respect Jim, and he will do a great job for us."
In a message to the shareholders in August, it was disclosed that a full time geologist was hired to help direct the efforts at the Dragon Mine. The Company is also looking at possible lab facilities that can be set up on or near the property. Processing methods beyond the existing KDS grinder/dryer are also being analyzed to insure that the product demands of buyers can be made readily available. With the recent funding the Company has paid the majority of its debts and purchased the Dragon Mine. Stated Jacobson, "We are in the position now to move the Dragon Mine and Atlas to the next level. Operations can gear up from this point, and we will not be distracted by worries about how to pay for it."
