OSBURN, Idaho--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 1, 2005--Atlas Mining Company (OTCBB:ALMI) announced today that its President and CEO, William Jacobson recently returned from a Financial Services Exchange Conference in Philadelphia. At the conference, attended by brokers and investors, Jacobson gave a report on the progress of the Dragon Mine in Juab County, Utah. In related news, Jacobson stated that he had taken the opportunity to visit the offices of Nano Dynamics in Buffalo, NY and Natural Nano in Rochester, NY. "Both visits were interesting and fruitful," stated Jacobson. "These companies are pursuing the microtubule and nano areas, and they are confident of bringing our halloysite clay into a commercial use in the near future."
Scientists have noted that the microscopic elements of the Dragon halloysite are hollow and tubular in structure and are being considered for everything from paint additives to natural time release elements in household and personal care products. Jacobson remarked: "I feel the efforts being made by these new applications will bring us a new and exciting market for this unique clay."
