ARIS News ARI Names Peter Hemphill as Manager of Data Resources
MILWAUKEE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ARI (OTCBB:ARIS), a leading provider of technology-enabled business
solutions that help equipment dealers, distributors and manufacturers
build sales and profits, announced today that Peter Hemphill has joined
ARI as manager of Data Resources. Mr. Hemphill will be responsible for
all data conversion related activities, including improving thruput and
efficiency and overseeing the development of new processes to support
additional data types and services. He will be located in ARI’s
Colorado Springs, CO office.
“We are very pleased to welcome an individual
of Peter’s caliber to ARI as the manager of
our newly-created Data Resources group,” said
Brian E. Dearing, chairman and chief executive officer of ARI. “Peter
joins ARI with over 19 years in the data processing and publishing
industry. Most notably, he was Senior Manager of Software Development
for IHS, Inc – Engineering Division, a $1.5
billion, world-class provider of software solutions delivering parts and
standards information to Fortune 500 customers in over 100 countries,
including Bombardier, Boeing, Daimler Chrysler and Deutsche Telekomm.
His responsibilities at IHS included managing the development of
software for collection of engineering information from around the
world. He also provided strategic design engineering for the company’s
flagship commercial offerings which generated more than $120 million in
annual revenue and he led technology teams in the development of some of
the company’s first CD-ROM products that
generated $80 million in new revenue,” added
Dearing.
According to Dearing, over the past year, the volume, types and
complexity of data that ARI manages, converts and delivers has greatly
expanded. “I’m
confident that Peter’s expertise in managing
large-scale databases and producing quality information for Fortune 500
companies will prove to be invaluable as we grow. We expect our customers’
need for data conversion and management to continue to accelerate as our
business expands. In order to continue to grow our business, it is
essential that we take a strategic approach to managing our data
operations and assets efficiently and effectively,”
said Dearing. “In my view, Peter’s
extensive global experience and proven success will help us do that.”
“ARI’s electronic
parts catalogs have a solid, proven reputation in the markets they serve
today. “While the databases that ARI
currently manages and delivers are smaller and less complex in nature
than those I’ve managed before, the
information they provide is just as critical to the end user. I’m
excited about the opportunity to help ARI develop and deploy a
technology strategy on a global scale that can build on that reputation
as well as provide expanded products and services that depend on our
data conversion and management capabilities,”
said Hemphill.
For the past two years, Hemphill was President and CTO of Hemphill &
Associates, L.L.C., an information technology consulting firm providing
business policy, project management and technical support to the private
and public sectors. In addition, he was a policy and technical advisor
to the Public Printer of the U.S. where he contributed to the vision,
strategic insight and technical expertise in electronic document
management technology.
