BLHL News Antik Denim, LLC Files Trademark/Copyright Infringement Suit
COMMERCE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 24, 2005--Blue Holdings Inc. (OTCBB:BLHL), a designer, manufacturer and distributor of high-end fashion jeans and denim apparel, today announced that Antik Denim, LLC ("Antik"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Blue Holdings, has filed a lawsuit against two companies that have encroached on its highly identifiable, stylized pocket design. The complaint was filed on August 22, in the United States District Court in Los Angeles against Turn On Products, Inc., d/b/a Younique Clothing and Alloy Incorporated.
The unique design in question is copyrighted, and is the subject of pending trademark and design patent registration claims. Antik expects to file at least three more similar lawsuits before the end of the week, alleging that additional companies are violating federal and state trademark, copyright, unfair trade practices and unfair competition statutes and laws.
These steps mark the beginning of Blue Holdings' aggressive and coordinated plan to curb an increase in the domestic and international counterfeiting of Antik's stylized pocket design and other intellectual property.
