BSKO News Big Sky Energy Announces the Commencement of Its Well No. 12 In the Morskoe Field, Kazakhstan

CALGARY, Alberta--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 14, 2005--Big Sky Energy Corporation (OTCBB:BSKO) (the "Company") announced today that its subsidiary KoZhaN LLP has commenced the drilling of its Well No. 12 in the Morskoe Field located on the north-eastern shore of the Caspian Sea, Kazakhstan.

Well No. 12 is anticipated to be drilled to a total vertical depth of 1,350m and is expected to take approximately 30 days to reach total depth. This well will be drilled from a pad which the Company constructed to drill its Wells No. 10 and 11, and will be deviated approximately 300m to the north-east to target the Albian formation. Well No. 12 offsets No. 10 which encountered two oil zones in the Albian formation and flowed co-mingled on test at a rate of 3,465 bopd of 20 degrees API sweet crude.

"We plan to equip and complete Wells 10, 11, and 12 simultaneously and produce all three through a temporary test facility starting December, 2005 until permanent facilities, which are currently being assembled, are commissioned later in 2006," stated Mr. Al Sehsuvaroglu, the Company's President and Chief Executive Officer.
