BUGS News SSWM Subsidiary Receives Official Order to Proceed with $2 Million of Projects in Puebla, Mexico

CARLSBAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sub-Surface Waste Management of Delaware, Inc. (OTCBB:SSWM) announced that its Mexico subsidiary company Environmental Tec International, S.A. de C.V. (ETI) received official notice from the State of Puebla’s Secretary of the Environment, Francisco Castillo Montemayor, to proceed with remediation of two separate sites, critically impacted from petroleum product releases, that have closed established freshwater stream-fed commercial aquatic fish farm sites in the northern area of the State. The Los Pinos project contract is valued at $902,000 USD and the San Lorenzo project contract is valued at $1,078,000 USD. ETI staff will commence work on these projects immediately.

Bruce Beattie, CEO of SSWM, stated, “Petroleum contamination from these two projects has closed the fish farms and adversely impacted the economic income of the farm’s workers and their families. Governor Mario Marin Torres has asked us to clean up the mess so that the farm operations can be restarted and the people put back to work. The detrimental effect of contamination in these sites is typical of the problems we see in many places in Mexico and we are glad to be able to not only cleanup the mess but to also restore the jobs of many displaced workers. Our technology and experience coupled with the pro-active actions of the Governor and Secretary of the environment not only helps the environment but also the economic prosperity of the hardworking citizens of Puebla.”
