CHOB: Go West!
America is a land of opportunity to those on the outside looking in. To those of us on the inside, the land of opportunity still lies on the coasts. There has always seemed to be limitless possibilities and money to be made in California. The old adage “go west, young man (or woman)” seems to ring true even today.
At least one company has illustrated this idea. Charter Oak Bank, (OTCBB:CHOB) is only in its infancy, merely one and a half years old. Despite its youth, the bank has an estimated worth of almost 53 million in June 2006. Intent on maintaining this growth, Jamie Davidson was recently added to the team as Relationship Officer. Jamie comes from the Wine Industries Group of Silicon Valley Bank in St. Helena and has a degree in economics from California State University. Those are impressive credentials, but it doesn’t take a genius to see that there is still money to be made in California.
