CLXN News CLX Investment Company Announces Beginning of Zonda's Appearance at MEDICA -- the World's Largest Medical Trade Event
TEMECULA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 15, 2005--CLXInvestment Company, Inc. (OTCBB:CLXN) today announced that portfolio investment Zonda, Inc. has begun exhibiting at MEDICA medical trade fair underway this week in Dusseldorf, Germany. MEDICA, titled the 37th World Forum for Medicine (www.medica.de), is the largest such event in the world and features 4,019 exhibitors and 136,152 visitors showcasing the latest product developments for the medical industry.
Zonda executives have arrived in Germany and are meeting with major European distributors today. MEDICA officially opens on November 16 and runs through Saturday, November 19.
"Zonda's appearance at MEDICA not only places it at the center of the medical supply world this week, but we expect that Zonda management will come away from this event with new contacts for potential worldwide distribution relationships, as well as increasing the exposure of its products to a large customer base in the medical community," commented Tammy Dunn, chief executive officer of CLXInvestment Company.
Zonda Inc., a privately held company that specializes in test products that serve the medical diagnostic (IVD), food safety, and sanitation testing markets, is expanding the distribution of its product lines into broader markets around the world, beginning with a focus in Europe. The first product targeted for accelerated marketing and distribution efforts is an innovative, rapid, self-contained diagnostic device for the detection of Chlamydia, which carries a CE mark for professional and over-the-counter use. The device, which is marketed under the HandiLab-C name, is superior to its competition due to its comparable accuracy (compared directly to PCR testing), ease of use, compact design, long shelf life, rapid results, and cost effectiveness.
"CLX believes strongly that Zonda's products will show very well at MEDICA, and there will be considerable business generated from its presence at this trade fair," added Ms. Dunn.
MEDICA's exhibit range includes electromedical equipment, medical technology, laboratory equipment, rescue and emergency equipment, diagnostics, drugs, physiotherapy, orthopedic technology, single-use products and consumer goods.
