CVBT News CardioVascular BioTherapeutics to Present at 2006 Money Show in London; Co-Founder to Discuss Outlook for New Treatment for Cardiovascular Disease

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 19, 2006--CardioVascular BioTherapeutics, Inc. (OTCBB:CVBT) announced that Daniel C. Montano, president and CEO, is presenting the progress of the company's drug candidate with Cardio Vascu-Grow(TM) as its active ingredient for the treatment of cardiovascular disease at the 2006 World Money Show in London. The conference will be held from September 29-30, 2006 at the QE II Conference Centre in London. Mr. Montano is scheduled to speak on September 30 at 11:15 a.m.

The World Money Show is one of the largest annual gatherings of investors in the world. This year's event, which focuses on the best new investment strategies for income and growth, provides a unique opportunity for attendees to become informed about trading and investment through interactive panels and discussions covering "hot topics" relating to different aspects of investment.

"Cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of death in the U.S. and CardioVascular BioTherapeutics is committed to the goal of developing better, safer and lower-cost treatment options," said Mr. Montano. "We are currently working to evaluate the medical benefits of our drug candidates with Cardio Vascu-Grow as the active ingredient through human clinical trials authorized by the FDA. As a protein therapy, Cardio Vascu-Grow may represent a new approach to the treatment of cardiovascular disease and has the potential to be a life-changing treatment. We have recently achieved a safety milestone in our Phase I clinical trial for no-option heart patients, and are now in a Phase I trial for wound healing, which affects approximately 20 million patients in the U.S. Pending FDA authorization, we also plan to initiate a Phase I trial in peripheral artery disease, which affects approximately eight million patients."

CVBT's Cardio Vascu-Grow contains a protein that is a member of the fibroblast growth factor family, which stimulates the growth of blood vessels, a process called angiogenesis. The general principle is that when proper blood flow is established in the areas affected by cardiovascular disease, patients may experience a better quality of life.
