CVBT News CardioVascular BioTherapeutics to Present at 9Th Annual Financial Advisor Symposium in Chicago; Co-Founder to Discuss New Therapies for Cardiovascular Disease
LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 20, 2006--CardioVascular BioTherapeutics, Inc. (OTCBB:CVBT) today announced that President and CEO Daniel C. Montano will discuss potential new therapies for the treatment of cardiovascular disease at the 9th Annual Financial Advisor Symposium in Chicago. The conference, which is co-produced by InterShow and Financial Advisor magazine, will be held from September 25 to 27, 2006 at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers. Mr. Montano is scheduled to speak on September 27 at 12:45 p.m.
"Cardiovascular disease affects more than 71 million people in the U.S. and will affect even more as the world's population ages," said Mr. Montano. "This coupled with the economic impact of cardiovascular disease underscores the need for new therapies that will reduce the suffering and improve the quality of life of individuals affected by this devastating disease. We are currently working to evaluate the medical benefits of our protein drug candidates, formulated with Cardio Vascu-Grow(TM) as their active ingredient, through human clinical trials authorized by the FDA, and look forward to expanding our research into new treatment options."
CVBT's Cardio Vascu-Grow contains a protein member of the fibroblast growth factor family designed to stimulate the growth and multiplication of blood vessels in a process called angiogenesis. The general principle is that once blood perfusion is increased in the affected areas, patients with cardiovascular diseases may experience an improvement in tissue repair and function.
The 9th Annual Financial Advisor Symposium is an educational event specifically designed to help financial advisors manage, grow and maximize their businesses. It features intensive seminars, interactive panels and workshops as well as a state-of-the-art exhibit hall. This year's event is structured around three themes - Structuring Your Practice, Monitoring Investments and Maintaining Compliance in a World of Sweeping Regulatory Change - and will gather 120 of the top companies offering products and services to the financial advisor industry, who will help attendees discover new tools and strategies for managing their own and clients' assets.
