DTMG News Datameg Retains Aspire Communications for Investor Relations

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 28, 2005--Datameg Corporation (OTCBB:DTMG) today announced that it retained Aspire Communications, Inc. to spearhead Datameg's investor relations efforts. Aspire Communications will communicate Datameg's value proposition and investment theme through programs that raise awareness and support for Datameg with the investment community. Aspire is a Boston-area based investor relations and public relations consulting firm with recognized expertise in technology, energy, financial services and medical products. James J. Flanagan III, Aspire's President and CEO, will lead the Datameg IR team. Flanagan will be the primary contact for Datameg's shareholders and prospective investors.

"The addition of Aspire to our team will alleviate the increasing time and energy demands placed on key personnel that should otherwise be focusing on our core competency - developing and delivering service monitoring and fault isolation tools and services for next generation network services," said Datameg Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President, Mark P. McGrath. "As Datameg enters its go-to-market stage, we will require the guidance and advice of Aspire, a professional IR firm, to ensure that our messages and successes are communicated to the capital markets."

"Datameg's new vision and the exciting business opportunity and growth potential are essential messages for the investment community," said Jim Flanagan. "I spent the early days of my career working for GTE in many phases of the telecommunications industry including wireline, satellite, local exchange and cable systems. Later, I consulted to early providers of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and large Internet infrastructure companies so I know the business models, operations and investor interests. It took me little time to realize Datameg's potential to provide both its technologies and services to next generation service providers. I want to communicate that exciting story to investors."
