ELEC News Trificient Technologies Selects VoX to Serve Customers Worldwide; Wireless Internet Service Provider to Resell VoX Broadband Phone Service to Customers - Including those in Under-Served, Rural Communities

CELEBRATION, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 5, 2006--VoX Communications Corp., eLEC Communications Corp.'s (OTCBB: ELEC) wholesale and retail provider of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services nationwide, today announced a wholesale agreement with Wireless Internet Service Provider, Trificient Technologies.

Trificient is focused on serving residential and business customers in areas that haven't had access to affordable high speed Internet. Through the agreement with VoX, Trificient will enhance its offering with private label broadband phone services for these customers and others seeking a high-quality, low-cost alternative to their current telephone provider.

"Trificient is dedicated to providing our customers with only the highest quality services. When we decided to add broadband phone services to our offering, we began the laborious process of testing every service we could find. Until VoX not one of them could perform in a way that didn't put our customer base in jeopardy," said Jim Ingram, President of Trificient. "The VoX product was the only truly production-ready, customer-ready service we saw in over a year. Now I'm confident that we can offer the value of broadband phone service without putting our most valuable asset - our customers - at risk."

Isolation, distance and low population density are some of the factors that have prevented the availability of advanced telecom services in rural areas. Trificient is committed to providing bundled Internet and voice services to these geographic locations, which are typically a low priority for large telecommunications providers.

"We are incredibly proud to partner with Trificient to provide small towns and communities with telephone service that is clear, reliable, feature-rich and economical," said Mark Richards, President of VoX. "The fact that we can turn up the same advanced offering in Mount Airy, North Carolina as quickly and efficiently as we can in Charlotte, North Carolina demonstrates the power of VoIP and the Internet in general. It's a beautiful thing."
