ELEC News VoX First to Offer Puerto Rico 'Virtual' Phone Numbers to Customers throughout the 50 States

CELEBRATION, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--VoX Communications Corp., eLEC Communications Corp.’s (OTCBB: ELEC) wholesale and retail provider of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services nationwide, today announced the launch of an Hispanic-targeted advertising campaign promoting the availability of Puerto Rico virtual telephone numbers. VoX is the first to offer customers in the 50 U.S. states the ability to add a Puerto Rico telephone number to any U.S.-based VoX plan for just $4.95 per month, allowing friends and family living in Puerto Rico to call them on a local number rather than a long distance number.

Virtual telephone numbers ring to a VoX customer’s primary phone line and are not tied to their geographical location. A customer in Florida, for example, can choose a virtual number with an area code in New York, California or even Puerto Rico. Customers can select up to nine virtual numbers.

“Virtual numbers enable friends, family members and colleagues to contact VoX customers without incurring expensive long distance charges,” said Ron Harden, EVP of Sales and Marketing for VoX Communications. “Today, many consumers have phone plans that include long distance for a flat rate. With VoX Unlimited, customers can call anywhere in the US, Canada or Puerto Rico for $24.95. For just a few more dollars a month they can give someone living far away the ability to call them whenever they want. This is great for college students and is especially appealing to VoX customers who have loved ones without access to affordable calling plans.”

VoX telephone service and virtual numbers are available throughout the US and Canada. The company’s advertising campaign is initially running in the Orlando market and consists of Web advertising, email advertising and radio ads on MEGA 98.1, Orlando’s leading Hispanic radio station. As part of the campaign, customers will receive their first month of service free when they sign up for the VoX Unlimited plan.

VoX service plans start at just $9.95 per month and every plan includes voicemail, three-way calling, call return, low International rates and other great features. The service requires a high speed Internet connection such as cable or DSL and works with a standard telephone handset. Visit www.voxcorp.net for more information or to sign up.
