ELST News Electronic Systems Technology, Inc. Announces Serial Capability for ESTeem 195 Modems
KENNEWICK, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 18, 2006--Electronic Systems Technology, Inc. (EST) (OTC:ELST), manufacturers of the ESTeem(TM) product line of narrow band licensed, spread spectrum unlicensed, and 802.11b Ethernet wireless modems announced the immediate availability of RS-232, serial connectivity capability for the ESTeem 195 series of Ethernet wireless modems.
The RS-232 serial capability will allow the ESTeem 195 products an even greater flexibility of input devices and applications already served by the Ethernet based wireless modems. In addition to broadening new project horizons, the serial capability will provide a springboard for legacy projects. Products previously limited to outdated serial network structures can employ Ethernet based protocols for expanded network and communication capabilities. The RS-232 serial option can be installed in new products at time of order or can be retrofitted to the existing ESTeem 195 products already installed.
The serial option also provides the ESTeem 195 products with a second Ethernet port. The second Ethernet port can be used to connect multiple Ethernet devices to a single ESTeem 195 wireless modem and reduce the cost of an additional HUB or Switch at remote locations. This second Ethernet port can also be configured as a Router or Firewall for added flexibility in network design.
