ERFW News ERF Wireless' New Network Operations Center Operational and Generating Revenue; NOC Monitors Wireless Broadband Networks for Three Different ERF Wireless Profit Centers
LEAGUE CITY, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 9, 2006--ERF Wireless (OTCBB:ERFW), a provider of enterprise-class wireless broadband products and services, announced today that all of the network monitoring and control operations for each of its three major wireless broadband profit centers have been flawlessly switched to its newly completed Network Operations Center (NOC) in League City, Texas. The new NOC, which had been under construction since late last year, officially took control of all ERF Wireless network operations with the initiation of monitoring operations for the new Iberville bank network previously announced on July 31, 2006.
R. Greg Smith, CEO of ERF Wireless Inc., commented, "The initiation of service in our new NOC is a very significant event for ERF Wireless. It is a central recurring revenue component in our business plan over the next four years and is expected to generate a significant percentage of our total revenue. The operation of all of our three major profit centers that comprise the basis of ERF Wireless' long-range business strategy include: (1) construction and monitoring of regional bank wireless data networks, (2) acquisition, construction and operation of enterprise-level wireless broadband ISP networks and (3) construction, operation and monitoring of municipal wireless broadband networks. All are centered around NOC operations. To illustrate this point, the following revenue generating activities are currently supported by our NOC:
Wireless Broadband Banking Networks. The NOC provides 24/7 monitoring of banking networks built by ERF Wireless under five-year recurring revenue generating contracts. Currently supporting operations in three states, the NOC is capable of operating on a nationwide basis. Within the next four years, recurring monitoring revenues for this profit center are expected to grow to approximately 40% of the 10% market penetration ERF Wireless anticipates achieving in the $2 billion regional bank marketplace.
Wireless Broadband Enterprise ISP Operations. The NOC provides 24/7 monitoring of all networks owned by ERF Wireless, as well as wireless broadband ISP networks built under revenue-sharing contracts with existing bank customers. The four-year recurring revenue generating potential of this profit center is only limited by the number of new enterprise-level ISP networks that ERF Wireless builds or acquires. It's anticipated this revenue will account for approximately one-third of the total ERF Wireless recurring revenue within the next four years.
Wireless Broadband Municipal Networks. The NOC provides 24/7 monitoring as well as provisioning, sales support, maintenance dispatch, and level 1 and level 2 customer support of third-party municipal networks administered and operated by ERF Wireless. The NOC also provides 24/7 third-party monitoring of wireless and other communications networks. This profit center is expected to grow as more cities and municipalities throughout the U.S. adopt wireless broadband strategies. ERF Wireless anticipates that over the next four years its NOC capabilities will enable the company to capture a representative share of a projected multi-billion dollar marketplace.
