GBFL News Great Basin Bank Only Nevada Owned Bank to Receive Full Service SBA Delegated Lender Status

ELKO, Nev.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dennis D. Wengert, Nevada Deputy District Director of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), presented Great Basin Bank of Nevada (GBB) with a certificate acknowledging GBB’s approval as an SBA Community Express lender. GBB is the only Nevada owned bank to receive this status as a full service SBA delegated lender.

The SBA Community Express program is an SBA loan program designed to assist entrepreneurs and small business owners in starting or expanding their companies. Community Express loans are available to assist small business owners having financial need, with the typical loan size being $50,000 or less. The program also includes technical and management assistance, which is designed to help increase the business’s chance of success. GBB has entered into a partnership agreement with Nevada Small Business Development Center (NSBDC) to provide this technical assistance.

The NSBDC is a statewide business assistance outreach program of the University of Nevada Reno and the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Both locations and their network of statewide satellite centers provide an abundance of free and low cost information, assistance, counseling and training for Nevada Businesses. To find the center nearest you visit web site www.NSBDC.org. or call 1-800-240-7094.

“We’ve found that SBA lending is a niche that requires dedication, experience and training and Great Basin Bank has worked hard to be among the best,” said Wengert. “We work with the business owners and the NSBDC to determine which loan program is best suited to meet the specific needs of the business,” added Blake Marchant, Great Basin’s Executive Vice President / Chief Credit Officer.

Great Basin Bank has four locations in Northern Nevada. Contact Angie Thomas or Paul Averett at 1-877-226-5482 or visit www.greatbasinbank.com to find the location nearest you.

Great Basin Bank of Nevada is a FDIC insured and an equal opportunity lender. Its parent company, Great Basin Financial Corporation, is listed over the OTC BB market at tickler symbol GBFL. More information on Great Basin Bank of Nevada can be found at www.greatbasinbank.com.
