GDTI News Guardian Technologies' PinPoint Technology Advances Through Technology Certification in Russia
HERNDON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Guardian Technologies International, Inc. (OTCBB:GDTI) today announced
that it is nearing completion of the certification process by the Russia
Federation of its security-screening solution, PinPoint. Upon
certification, PinPoint will be available for commercial deployment at
airports throughout Russia’s $48 million
immediately addressable market.
The company completed the second of a four-phase process of
certification in late October 2006. Phase three is currently anticipated
to commence in early December with the evaluation to be performed by
Cryptocom, the leading Russian certification laboratory. Cryptocom will
perform final testing of the PinPoint detection capabilities before
submitting the final report (Phase Four) to the Russia Federation for
certification recommendation.
Guardian Technologies’ CIS distributor
Terralink will also finalize sales and marketing activities in December,
positioning PinPoint for rollout as soon as the certification is
received from the government.
“With completion of the certification process
we are now positioned for the deployment of the PinPoint technology
throughout all of Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States,”
said Gary Fowler, CEO of Fowler International, LLC. “Furthermore,
through our advanced marketing activities with the airport authorities
within the Federation, there is a clearly recognized need for advanced
explosive detection capabilities that PinPoint can fulfill.”
