Lee Witt Associates unit, along with Anderson Kill & Olick, P.C. and
Anderson Kill Loss Advisors, will present “Natural
Disaster Preparedness: Insurance Coverage and Emergency Response Planning”
on Thursday, November 9, 2006 at The Harvard Club, New York City.
The conference will begin at 3:30 p.m. with opening remarks made by
Finley T. Harckham, Shareholder of Anderson Kill & Olick, followed by a
presentation on “Understanding FEMA and its
Role on Natural Disasters” by Mark Merritt of
James Lee Witt Associates. John N. Ellison and Richard P. Lewis,
Shareholders of Anderson Kill & Olick, will then present on the “Fundamentals
of Property and Business Interruption Insurance for Natural Disasters,”
immediately followed by Finley Harckham speaking on the “Developments
in the Law and Key Issues from 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina.”
After a short break, the “Preparation for
Catastrophes” session will begin with Marvin
Milton of Anderson Kill Loss Advisors speaking about Insurance Coverage
issues, after which Barry Scanlon and Mark Merritt of James Lee Witt
Associates will review Logistical and Practical Concerns.
The presentations will conclude with Ron Papa of the National Fire
Adjustment, speaking on “Valuation of
Catastrophic Losses.”
