GLOI News James Lee Witt Associates Adds Emergency Management and Capitol Hill Veterans to Sacramento and DC Teams

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--James Lee Witt, CEO of James Lee Witt Associates (JLWA), a unit of GlobalOptions Group (OTCBB: GLOI), announced today that Frank Castro-Wehr and Diane L. Collins have joined the firm.

Frank Castro-Wehr comes to JLWA as a Program Specialist, based in the Sacramento, California office. For the past sixteen years, he has worked for Ecology and Environment, Inc., where he served as an Emergency Manager, providing consulting services in counter-terrorism planning, environmental assessment activities, and general emergency management.

Throughout his nineteen-year career, Mr. Castro-Wehr has created emergency and counter-terrorism plans for local governments as well as businesses. He served as Response Team Leader under a Federal EPA contract, where his duties included staffing response and removal sites, quality control of deliverables, hiring, training and orientation for new staff, performing employee evaluations, client services, and site field audits. He has also responded to such emergencies as train derailments, plating shop releases, refinery releases, tire fires, oil spills to waterways, floods, abandoned drums, meth labs, and abandoned explosive facilities.

“With over nineteen years experience in emergency management and environmental protection, Frank will be a valuable addition to our team,” said Mr. Witt. “His tremendous talent in emergency planning and exercises will bring great expertise to our clients.”

Diane L. Collins joins JLWA as a Director of Government Relations, based in the company’s Washington DC office. She brings extensive federal, state and local legislative experience, which will complement JLWA’s government relations operations in Little Rock, Sacramento, Chicago and Atlanta. For the past two years, she has worked on the staff of Representative Curt Weldon (OH) in Washington D.C. as a Legislative Assistant, briefing the Congressman on topics surrounding fire service, law enforcement and labor issues. Last spring, she was promoted to Director of Operations, where she managed the Congressman’s $1.2 million office budget, directed personnel and human resource functions and coordinated the congressman’s travel and schedule while continuing to cover legislative issues.

Ms. Collins was a volunteer firefighter for thirteen years and currently serves as the Director of the Suffolk County (NY) Fire Safety Educator’s Association. She also serves on the Advisory Council of the Center for Campus Security.

In 2004, Ms. Collins was assigned to the Anti-Counterfeiting Operations of the Underwriters Laboratories, where she assisted the staff in an administrative capacity. Her other duties included corresponding with US Customs Inspectors and helping to determine if products at US ports had a counterfeit UL label or mark.
